Tuesday is, without a doubt, my favorite day of the week. Why, you ask?
1. I don't have to work. (I teach preschool on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.)
2. Brandon is at work all day (he's off on my other free weekday, Thursdays). It's not that I don't like having him home, but I enjoy my alone time when I can do what I want to do and he's not busting my groove!
3. Tuesday is my day to be productive and get things done. I usually reserve cleaning, laundry and errands for Tuesday. (Am I the only one who just likes to be home and do stuff around the house?)
Here's what a typical Tuesday is like for me. I usually get up and go to the gym before Brandon leaves for work. (Today: check!) I love being at the gym from 7:30-8:30 because hardly anyone is there. I come home, get Addyson up and fed, and get showered. I try to spend the morning cleaning and tackling my to do list, with a little blog reading and tv watching in between. When Addyson goes down for her afternoon nap, I usually write my lesson plans for the following week. I try to cook a decent meal for dinner. My reward at the end of the day: watching Biggest Loser and American Idol.
Having the whole day to myself feels like a luxury since I started working part-time. I love my Tuesdays! Now, off to wash my sheets.

Well, my favorite days would be Tuesday and Thursday for the same reason. But I am not off from teaching two classes in the morning. By the time I teach and shower it is almost noon and then I usually have a lunch date :). So my 'have to's' never get done. I play way too much. But I do LOVE being home by myself...the tv is mine. The music choice is mine. LOVE IT!!! Gotta go see what is on HGTV!
I never realized how much I would love being home alone and I usually clean and such too. I call it guilt free cleaning because I'm always tidying and sometimes feel like I clean more than play with the kids, so when they're gone I can clean as much as I want!
This made me feel guilty. I have been so lazy today and can't get my act together. You sound amazingly productive. I love Tuesdays bc of the Biggest Loser. It's my only show right now. Funny about Brandon busting your groove. That's how I feel whenever Tyler works from home. Either be a present participant in my life or get out of my grizzle!
Well now after reading your post I feel nothing but lazy. I don't ever get as much done as you do and there is not a chance in hell that I would ever get up and go to the gym before Jason left for work. Good for you. Anyways, I am with you and your mom, there is nothing like "alone time" because I get to do whatever I want. I think my favorite day of the week is eather Tuesdays or Fridays ... Definately NOT Sundays because we have 1pm church which makes a nap for Stella almost non-existent and she is a terror for most of the day because she is sooo tired!
Favorite day of the week is WEDNESDAY. Because:
1. The house has recovered from the weekend and is somewhat orderly again.
2. We have playgroup with our ward and always get out of the house to do something fun.
3. I get to set aside my black and white shirt and referee whistle for an hour while Troy and Brigg go play at their adopted Grandma's house in the afternoon. (An elderly neighbor who LOVES the boys and has no grandkids of her own. So she still thinks everything they do is cute.)
