Fondue, Friends and Fair Weather...Finally!

I am in charge of a Relief Society cooking group in my ward that meets bi-monthly. This month I decided to plan a fondue night to try out my new fondue pot and some new fondue recipes. It was so fun. We had quite a spread that included a chocolate fountain, Chocolate Butterscotch fondue, S'mores Fondue, and White Chocolate Fondue. We also had two savory fondues...a Bacon Cheddar one that I made and a Chili Fondue that was spicy. For dipping, we had french bread, veggies, donuts, pound cake, strawberries, bananas, pineapple, Oreos, marshmallows and pretzels. I was in a sugar coma after not eating sugar for a month!

I invited my friend Jaime who used to be in our ward to come and was glad she did. Please disregard my chin (s) and my off-center necklace.

This weekend I got a visit from one of my old dear friends from high school, Lisa! We hadn't seen each other in about seven years. Her and her boyfriend Todd were in Boise and stopped by for a visit. It was so fun to see her and catch up. Why do I look like I'm pregnant in this picture? I'm posting it anyway to prove that she was here.

Lisa and Todd

Spring has finally arrived here in Meridian, Idaho! She's a temper mental woman, though...last week it snowed one morning and two days later it was 7o degrees. Those warm days have been beautiful. One day last week my friend Kaydee and I put our babies in their strollers and went for a nice, long walk.

Here's her six week old, Ethan. Isn't he precious?

And of course, Miss Addy Waddy:

She's gazing heavenward like a little angel...or more likely plotting her next ill-timed diaper blowout. She's been doing that often lately.
It's tax day today...are yours done?

Excuse your chins? Whatever, you are so funny! If that's the case then just excuse me for being big...period!

Thanks for the invite. I had a LOT of fun and enjoyed seeing some of my old ward members. You can never go wrong with fondue night!!!

Who is Todd? Can I go shooting? Will someone bring fondue? In answer to your post:
1- I can only see one chin.
2- Yes, Ethan is DARLING.
3- No, you don't look preggie in that shirt. (Are you?)
4- Lisa looks beautiful, same as in high school. How fun for you to catch up!

Again, what a go-getter you are Nikole! You really should name your blog "Better than Martha Stewart". Seriously! You look great in the pics. And NO, you do NOT look prego. Give me a break! You are darling.

I la-love fondue and I used to have quite a few fondue parties when I was single. The selection you had was impressive...cheddar bacon? mmmm. I'm salivating already. I don't blame you for going into a sugar coma.

Ok first of all, that fondue party looks like SO MUCH FUN! Second of all, have ever seen the movie Thoroughly Modern Millie? Your necklace totally reminded me of a part in that movie. If you haven't seen it and you like musicals, you HAVE to go rent it. It's cute. And third, do you have any recipes you can share for your fondue?

I am so hungry after reading your fondue post and seeing those pictures. I am going to have to eat a little snack now, thanks a lot! It looks like you guys had a fun night, and you look hot! I love your shirt and your brown necklace, great combo. Your friend Lisa looks familiar to me but I am not sure that I know her. I might have just seen her at your house when I was hanging out with Tyler. Anyways, I am happy that Spring has arrived in your town, it is such gorgeous weather here right now, I love it!!!
